Dr. Hinrichsen is a board-certified ophthalmologist with a specialized focus on pediatric ophthalmology. He holds active medical licenses in both Louisiana and Texas and has been certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 2005. He currently practices at Highland Clinic in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he provides expert care in pediatric eye conditions and serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at Louisiana State University Medical Center.

He completed his undergraduate education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, earning a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with Cum Laude honors. He went on to receive his medical degree from Louisiana State Medical College in Shreveport, followed by a preliminary medicine internship and an ophthalmology residency at the same institution. He furthered his training with a prestigious fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at Indiana University School of Medicine.
