Dr. Popwell has been a resident of Shreveport since 1973. He completed medical school, internship, and obstetrics-gynecology residency at LSUHSC-Shreveport. Dr. Popwell joined The Women’s Clinic in 1981. The Women’s Clinic joined Highland Clinic in December 2003. He is a Fellow of the Board of American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He has special interests in high risk obstetrics & laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Popwell is married and the father of three children.
